Admiration Media is a media and music-industry business based in the United Kingdom, operating the website admiration.media and its associated product subdomains. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Admiration Media is the data controller for information collected through this website.

Information we collect

• Information you send us. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, the subject category you select and the content of your message.
• Technical information. Our hosting provider automatically records standard server information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used for security and reliability, not to build a profile of you.

We do not use analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking on this website, and we do not buy or receive personal data about you from third parties.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To answer your enquiry and to carry out any work that follows from it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, or performance of a contract where we go on to work together.
• To keep the website secure and available. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations where relevant. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.

We do not send marketing emails, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Vercel — website and application hosting.
• Web3Forms — delivery of contact form submissions to our inbox.
• Our email provider — storage of the correspondence itself.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

Our tools and products

The free tools published on our subdomains are built to keep your material on your own device wherever technically possible. Royalty Router runs entirely in your browser. Codecast performs both checking and embedding in your browser — video files are never uploaded to us. Where an identifier lookup is needed, Codecast sends only the twelve-character ISRC string to an external registry, never the file.

Products that require an account, such as TrainConfirm, process additional information in order to function, including recipient details and access records. Where that applies, the relevant terms and notices are provided at the point of use.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it remains relevant to an ongoing or prospective working relationship, and is normally deleted within 24 months of the last contact. Records connected to paid work are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short period only.

International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, including UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS and access to enquiry correspondence is restricted to those who need it. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send sensitive material through the contact form — ask us for a secure route instead.
